Solid State Batteries

The solid-state secondary battery research group is a part of Institute of New Energy Technology in Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Currently, there are more than 50 members in our group, including 2 professor, 1 associate professors, 2 postdoctors, 3 staffs and more than 40 students. We are mainly focusing on solid electrolyte materials development, electrode/solid electrolyte interface optimization, solid-state battery technology and corresponding solid-state battery systems construction, including solid-state lithium-ion batteries, lithium/sodium sulfur batteries and metal-air batteries, so as to meet the major national strategic needs for EVs and large-scale energy storage grids with high safety, high energy density and low cost. We have built excellent platform for the solid state batteries, including materials preparing, devices assembling and characterizations. The research work is supported by funding from MOST, MII, NSFC, CAS, Zhejiang and Ningbo governments as well as companies. 200 peer-reviewed journal papers have been published and more than 80 Chinese patents have been applied.
